Different changes- one soft melody which becomes quick short notes then returns to soft melody, then to deep strong notes, then returns to soft melody once again. Tempo varies throughout whole song. Only one instrument, piano. The dynamics are strong and used carefully. Minor Key is used. In this piece I believe it is trying to make you, for me, reflectieve and even sad. But when it picks up, it becomes happy but not bubbley happy.
The tempo starts off slow and then it goes faster. While it does this the dynamics go up and down with the fast and slow. Also there is an overlap for the melody as he plays it with his 2 hands. It starts off with a sad sort of feeling and then the tempo gets faster which makes it a happy sort of piece towards the end of the piece. Also the performer is engaging to watch because he changes the tempo.
I believe that the tempo of the song ‘Fur Elise’ is slow which to me makes the song seem sad or depressing. Also the melody of the song is higher and more crisper compared to other songs that I have heard before. I like the way the song is moderately fast and then slows to a softer slower tempo, which resembles a sad song or a lullaby. This piece communicates to me a sadder song at the start but then slowly becomes more cheery or hopeful song that bring a brighter feeling to the song. Overall I think that this best song would best be suited to a lullaby.
I think this piece communicates meaning very well. When I listen to Beethoven I think of sad and less-fortunate things. I guess to feel thoughts like that; it must be the elements they have put in to the music. By experimenting with different elements you can create a wonderful piece. The tempo tends to change from soft to fast. The dynamics go from soft to loud too.
Für Elise is very graceful but also very sad. The music communicates maybe a memory of someone, and the way Beethoven remembered them hence the way the music changes from sad to slightly happier then sad again. This piece communicates it’s meaning by the way different dynamics are used (pp, p and mp.) The musician has very slow and flowing movements, which tie in with the music perfectly, which is in a minor key. When the song changes to a more forceful approach, accidentals are used to change the way you interpret what’s happening.
This piece communicates a sad meaning by the use of dynamics, key, Instrumentation and tempo. The tempo is varied and changes often. The dynamics are very soft with some parts a little louder. The key is in A minor. There is Instrumentation of a piano and long phrasing.
The tempo varies from fast to slow and the dynamics change though out the song the pitch of the song was was high and i noticed that the piano was the only instrument playing in the song and i think I heard a repeat in a couple of the verses.
This piece is a very sad and slow song. I think the song could possibly be a lullaby. The tempo in this song is a tempo that keeps changing. This song has many dynamics and has a good melody, this can change the way you feel when you listen to this song. I enjoyed the rhythm and texture of this song because it made the song have more meaning and feel like an appropriate lullaby for kids. The pitch wasn’t very high at the start but it did go high in part of it. The texture of the song was a little busy but it wasn’t very thick. The key of this song was A minor it makes the song sound sad and not very happy. The only instrument in Für Elise was a piano. I think that it would sound better if it had some more soft instruments. It makes the song sound sad because it’s slow and low. If it had more it would sound livelier.
This piece gives the feeling of sadness in my opinion. The clashing between the high and low keys give it a sad type of aura and sounds kind of like a lullaby. The slow melody also makes it seem like the type of song that would be played as a lullaby to a child, elder etc.
Elements of music:
Melody - The melody is high a majority of the time but sometimes it dips to a lower key.
Harmony - The harmony clashes between high and low.
Tempo - The tempo is slow but around the middle it speeds up a bit.
Rhythm - It sounds simple around the start and ending of the piece but the middle sounds a lot more complicated since it speeds up.
Dynamics - It is a mixture of soft and loud throughout the piece.
Instrumentation - (I don't know what this means)
Texture - The melody feels thin throughout the song. It doesn't give of a "heavy/thick" feeling to it.
Form - (I don't know what this means)
Key - The song is in major although it could become minor at times.
Pitch - The pitch is a mixture of high and low because it swaps between the two a lot of the time.
Phrasing - The song was reasonably long but not ultra.

1. How does this piece communicate meaning This piece makes me feel that Beethoven is sad
2. Include the elements of music in your response. The key in this piece is minor the whole way through; to me this means that this is a sad song. The tempo in this piece is slow all the way through; this makes the piece nice and calm.
‘Fur Elise’ makes you feel calm and relaxed because of it’s slow moving tempo. It also is quite bubbly because of the crescendos in some of the notes. The instrument that is being played is a piano. It is a happy piece because it is a nice, calm slow tempo and then it changes to a fast tempo but still stays calm. The pitch in this piece, Fur Elise, is a high pitch.
This piece has a lot of dynamics in it that shows that it’s mood is joyful and it can sound like a lullaby on some parts of it like the main part that is played, and you can imagine the dancing that it shows if you think of a ballroom dance. The performers face tells us that it can be sad in it at points in this piece and it can bring pain. The tempo is varied and there is a slow point in the main theme and sometimes it goes a little faster when it changes key but at the end it went back down to a slow tempo.
I like the song. It's very pretty and it conveys emotion and sadness. Beethoven's songs are all like this, like lullabies and the soft piano techniques. It gets dynamic in the middle and changes style and speed, but it calms down to a relaxing tempo once again at the end.
I love this song. It gives you a sense of happiness and greater times but it also gives you a sense of sadness because of the changing dynamics and sounds. I can imagine someone dancing under a spot light with this song and by the end there would be ten dancers. Beethoven is one of the best and well known pianists his music is just stupendous. Fur Elise is one of the best pieces of writing yet. In this piece of music it has a huge range of tone, harmony, pitch, rhythm and all the other elements of music. The pitch is used to a huge advantage by having the notes manipulated to created a forthcoming song. The dynamics used in this song make the music flow in a perfect rhythm because the song goes higher when there is a more tragic sound to the song making the listener feel sad and when the song is fast the sound doesn't need to be as loud because it still makes you happy. This piece is what you call an exceptional creation for life
This piece has many dynamic changes and in the middle the song reaches it's main part and everything changes slightly. The tempo speeds up and there is many more crescendos. Then it melts back into the normal tone with a slur. It can have a calming, almost sad, feel to it however it can be very upbeat and cheerful it had many repeats in it. When looking at the performers face you can tell that the song can be very sad and woeful. This song sounds mainly happy and peaceful compared to the occasional sorrowful dip. The tempo of the song is generally slow but in the main part it speeds up slightly to add effect. The pitch in Für Elise is high which can add to either of the two emotions.
the piece für Elise is a very soft piece with dramatic dynamic changes with sort and sharp notes, it also makes people feel sad and dramatic like somethings gone/missing
The song 'Fur Elise' has a slow tempo at the beginning which gives it a melancholy sort of feel. The pitch is relatively low but eventually it speeds up a bit and I think it changes key and goes down a pitch, this goes on for a short time then it switches back to the main theme. There are long phrases in the song for a majority of the time and the melody goes down for most of the time. All the while I can imagine a slow dance going on.
The key of the song changes from minor to major to minor. In the minor sections, the song is sad, but in the major sections, it is happy. The melody was always fairly high-pitched, with the harmony (left hand) being a lot lower and perhaps more sinister. The dynamics change greatly throughout the song, but they always change smoothly, with no sudden changes. The texture of the song is quite thin, with only the piano being present in the song. The harmony is simple, with it having a predictable rhythm throughout the song. The tempo is very slow. All of these things communicate meaning. I would say that the key, tempo and dynamics are most important in communicating the meaning.
Für Elise means For Elise as stated, this song seems personal to a family member. Composed by Beethoven, is a very old piece and in modern times, people still play this classical piece/song. Soft melody in piano state, then moving on with the dynamics to something happier and then back. The song goes slowly, soft then happy then back quietly. The key in the piece would be in a minor key, because the beginning doesn't sound as bright. The beginning of the piece brings the sadder emotion (feeling) representing the sadder side of the song, then when the happier part is louder.
It used the piano to slower the tempo. Fur Elise is the song to make the song slower and it a very old and sad piece. It gives you sadness. Then it goes faster and goes back slower.
The piece Fur Elise communicates a sad meaning by using slow somber sounding music at the start, it then picks up a little which makes the song sound more happy and cheerful also the notes used have a different tone which makes it sound more happy. It does this by using key. The key changes from minor to major to minor again. The melody descends to make it sound sadder. The tempo changes a fair bit through out the song from slow to fast to slow to slightly quicker and then to slow again. The song has a bit of an edgy feel in some fast bits too. The instrumentation is on piano. The dynamics used change a bit to the start quiet then louder then quiet then quite loud and then soft and quiet. There two parts in this song that are going at the same time top and bottom, treble and bass. I think the song Fur Elise uses all these elements to convey its meaning.
Für Elise is a piece where dynamics vary throughout the piece repeatedly its starts off reasonably soft and sounds quite depressing and then later in the song it gets quite loud and sounds really joyful and happy. The key of this piece in the Minor key and the pitch is very high. There is only one instrument played in this piece of music which is quite obviously the piano. The tempo of Für Elise changes regularly throughout the song it starts off slow and gradually gets faster and faster. The overall feel of the song to me sounds both really depressing and happy at the same time.
For Elise has tempo changes from time to time, and then it goes back to the main part, the one thats played at the start. Some times it also sounds a bit like children's song because its got a playful tune. It also has a lot of dynamics which shows this mood. The pianist uses these loud and soft parts to make you feel different ways throughout the song. It feels like a heavy or thick. It doesn't feel thin at all during the song.
Für Elise is a graceful song that contains a repetitive melody that can be heard often throughout the piece along with the added varying dynamics the song becomes a peaceful number to listen to. The way the song has been executed you can tell that it's supposed to be a sad lullaby; this can be shown through the tempo and soft dynamics. The tempo throughout the song continuously changes from soft and smooth to a faster more stressed point of the piece, which also adds to the sorrowful theme. In the music you can tell that it's based in minor key as well as having a high pitch the texture in the song is thin with the thicker accented moments.
This piece was very sad and graceful. The tempo was very slow so that’s why it’s graceful. The dynamics where used, because at one point it would be quite then it would be come loud. The melody is high majority of the time but sometimes it dips to a lower key.
The song Fur Elise has changes in the tempo because it has fast moments and slow parts as well. The melody is very catchy and memorable. In some parts of the song it feels happy and in others it has a sad feeling or impact on the listener. At the start of the song it feels like a sad song but in the middle it picks up and feels happy and then at the end it returns to a sadder feeling song. When the song gets happier the tempo picks up, the pitch gets higher and the dynamics change making the song louder. The pitch of the song changes from low to high during the song. The phrasing of the song is a medium length through the song, more long than short. The key of the song is in a major, but changes during the song. The fur Elise is a complex piece moving up and down the piano creating a very nice piece of music.
The tempo of the song changes from fast and slow and this gives a sense of sadness. In the song the dynamics are used quite a lot and it is very affective. The harmony clashes from high to low. The pitch of the song was very high but occasionally thee were some low notes. There was only one instrument "piano" that played in the song. The key that this is in is Minor.
'Für Elise' starts off very slow and gentle, the notes all slurring. Gradually the notes become short and then they change back into the melody at the start. Two thirds of the way through it becomes very intense and serious. The performer looks as if he is very depressed and sorrowful. The feel of this song can be quite happy and light at times and at other times it can be very unhappy and melancholic. When it sounds happy, the dynamics change so the tempo is faster, the pitch is higher and it gets louder. At times when it is more sorrowful it gets more quiet but intense and the tempo slows down.

This is quite an energetic song. Its tempo is quite fast and it jumps around a lot. The dynamics were pretty much the same the whole way through. We think it went up an octave at one point and a couple of times it got louder for a little bit but it soon went quiet again. The rhythm of this song is it goes high then low like a wave. In this song the melody goes very happy and energetic at one point then sadder and then loud and angry. The key is major at the start but it changes about half way through. The harmony between the left and right hand is amazing. They work great together. In this song the only instrumentation is of course the piano. It is a grand piano. The pitch was quite high most of the time. The phrasing was longer more then short but it was around medium.
This is an excellent song, well made, and makes me feel very sad and depressed as well. It has to be played with expertise, and that's what makes it such a heart warming sad lullaby. It starts very slow and soft, then is reaches the chorus and hits an excellent melody. This keeps happening throughout the song. It goes slow and soft, then to fast and loud until a long way through the song it hits the bridge which turns into a beautiful medium speed melody. Then it goes to a loud and strong melody which is very powerful and then it goes soft again and stops. In this song, the melody is repetitive and sometimes goes different. The dynamics in this song are both loud and soft and keep going on like this, it goes loud, then soft, loud, then soft etc. This song is very engaging and heart warming. It also seems to imitate life, as life is happy and angry. By Ronan Hammett.
Fur Elise starts off very slow and gentle. Gradually the notes become short and then they change back into the starting point. Just after half of the way through it becomes very strong and serious. The feel of this song can be quite happy and light at parts through the song, and at other times it can be very unhappy. When it sounds happy, the dynamics change such as: the tempo is faster, the pitch is higher and it gets louder. At times when it is more unhappy it gets more quiet but strong and the tempo slows down.
Fur Elise is a quite moving song that has a lot of dynamic changes throughout the piece. The melody and the dynamic changes to convey a depressed feeling as it is both getting higher and lower. The Key is minor at the start were the pitch is high although as the pitch varies, so does the key change, from minor to major. The rhythm is quite simple but through to the bridges, the rhythm gets really complex. Obviously there is only one instrument in this piece, but I have heard more versions with a whole orchestra or band. Classically, this piece is performed with a single instrument, but there can be a lot more instruments. The form is around 8 bar verses so the key signature is most likely 4/4. This piece has a very deep and thick texture throughout most of the whole song, and changes close to the end.
The piece is played with very high and very low to make a melody that compliments each other, but you can distinguish both parts. It is played with one instrument in this piece, a piano, and it uses striking high notes to convey a detailed meaning, which at times is sad but at other times is happy. When it is sad, it's not a deep sadness, it seems depressed, and the happy part is not a joyous happiness, it's a temporary one. The texture is both smooth and thin, because the low part is connected and has long phrasing, but the high part is short and has staccato in the happy part, but it long and connected in the sad parts. The phrasing is long in the sad parts and shorter in the happy parts, like when you're sad you droop and when you're happy you jump around. The tempo jumps around a bit, it goes fast and slow in different parts. The rhythm goes up and down in different parts. The pitch is high, as the melody is the high part. The low part is only the harmony part. The key is minor because it's a sad song, with not much happy in it. The middle part went higher to convey a slightly more happiness.
Fur Elise is very graceful and very beautiful. It is also very quiet throughout most of the song. The sound does vary but at no point does it actually get loud. It also has quite a fast tempo throughout most of the song but there are definitely points where it slows right down and makes it sound quite sad and moving. Fur Elise is also quite repetitive with the melody, which occurs a few times throughout the song. It is also of a very thin texture with just the one instrument playing usually just single notes. It conveys the major message using variation in these three elements above all. It is in the minor key and that makes it sound sadder. These are the major elements that convey the message. I believe that it is quite a sorrowful peace that represents something gone wrong.
This piece is a very slow piece until you get to about the middle/end. The melody of this piece is high and switches through to low quite a lot. This piece has a very soft melody that every now and then changes to deep and back. This piece has a slow (ish) tempo, my estimate on the tempo of this piece is around 130bpm because it is not a very fast piece but it is still a fast piece. the rhythm of this piece is very slow at the start but when in the centre it speeds up and gets higher. the dynamics of this piece are actually pretty much the same until you get to the higher part when he wants to express it more and get louder. The instrumentation in this is quite empty because the only instrument being played is a grand piano. The texture in this piece is very thin because there is only one piano playing. this piece form has a lot of verses that are the same and a chorus that is the same each time with an outro as well. a lot of this piece is in the major key but every now and then it got into the minor key. The pitch of this song is high a lot of the time but like the key every now and the it git lower. It has very long phrasing and a some of the short phrasing.
'Für Elise' has lots of feeling. The pianist uses his own emotions to influence the way the song is played example, he strikes the keys softly, then hard. The sadness, gloominess and desolation comes through to the audience because of the the elements such as the melody of the piece. The song also has a certain gracefulness to it. The piece sounds like it may be for someone or dedicated to someone when it was written The tempo varies, at the beginning of the piece it's slow, then further on in the song it speeds up. The melody is very up and down but small steps. The key starts in minor but then transforms into a major key further on. The phrasing it mostly long. The texture is thin because it is only the piano being played. The tempo is low and slightly speeds up in the middle of the song. The instrumentation is of coarse the piano. The form of this piece is very repetitive with recurring parts, theres really only one part that is completely different form the rest.
'Für Elise' is a fast and slow paced song. It started off slow and then in the middle it gets faster and then it goes back to slow. The grand piano was the instrument used. The melody is up and down. The song starts in the minor key and then in the middle it is major and then it goes back to minor. It does not get loud at any point in the song which gives it a sad and depressing sound but during the middle of the song there is a happy part but then it goes back to the sad and depressing sound. The song seems to have been written for someone which the title of the piece gives this away. It has very long phrasing and only some short phrasing.
"Für Elise' is a graceful yet sad and depressing song that has some hope in it. The form is very important i this piece because it goes A, B, A, then it has a small extra part, C, and it goes back up to A. the reason why it is important is because A is payed in minor which gives it a sad sound whilst it lingers on two of the notes until it descends and then comes back up all whilst slightly tampering with the dynamics. Then there is a sudden change to part B which is lively and played in a major key. The tempo also gets faster and there is more variation in pitch and dynamics. The texture becomes slightly thicker at this point. It then goes back to A. Next the composer has added in a small pert which is very low and spiky. It is also in a minor key. Once again the piece goes back to A. Overall this song has a fairly middle ranged pitch, it also has a very thin texture because there is only the piano playing. It is played in 3/4 time. I found this song rather sad and depressing but it was also very interesting because the composer has changed between major and minor, playing with the dynamics and rhythm.
Your words on this post helps the audience to get a neat present volume of ideas. This is a cool great post on this perfect day. Thank YOU Kanadan turistiviisumi

the piece für Elise is a very soft piece with dramatic dynamic changes with sort and sharp notes, it also makes people feel sad and dramatic like somethings gone/missing
ReplyDeleteThe song 'Fur Elise' has a slow tempo at the beginning which gives it a melancholy sort of feel.
ReplyDeleteThe key of the song changes from minor to major to minor.
ReplyDeleteIt goes slow then fast and a bit of a happy vibe as well as a sad. It uses dynamics well and tempo is nice.
ReplyDeleteFür Elise means For Elise as stated, this song seems personal to a family member. Composed by Beethoven, is a very old piece and in modern times, people still play this classical piece/song.
ReplyDeleteSoft melody in piano state, then moving on with the dynamics to something happier and then back. The song goes slowly, soft then happy then back quietly.
The key in the piece would be in a minor key, because the beginning doesn't sound as bright. The beginning of the piece brings the sadder emotion (feeling) representing the sadder side of the song, then when the happier part is louder.

DeleteIt used the piano to slower the tempo. Fur Elise is the song to make the song slower and it a very old and sad piece. It gives you sadness. Then it goes faster and goes back slower.
ReplyDeleteHi
DeleteThe piece Fur Elise communicates a sad meaning by using slow somber sounding music at the start, it then picks up a little which makes the song sound more happy and cheerful also the notes used have a different tone which makes it sound more happy.
ReplyDeleteFür Elise is a piece where dynamics vary throughout the piece repeatedly its starts off reasonably soft and sounds quite depressing and then later in the song it gets quite loud and sounds really joyful and happy.
ReplyDeleteFor Elise has tempo changes from time to time, and then it goes back to the main part, the one thats played at the start. Some times it also sounds a bit like children's song because its got a playful tune. It also has a lot of dynamics which shows this mood. The pianist uses these loud and soft parts to make you feel different ways throughout the song. It feels like a heavy or thick. It doesn't feel thin at all during the song.
ReplyDeleteFür Elise is a graceful song that contains a repetitive melody that can be heard often throughout the piece along with the added varying dynamics the song becomes a peaceful number to listen to.
ReplyDeleteThis piece was very sad and graceful. The tempo was very slow so that’s why it’s graceful. The dynamics where used, because at one point it would be quite then it would be come loud. The melody is high majority of the time but sometimes it dips to a lower key.
ReplyDeleteThe song Fur Elise has changes in the tempo because it has fast moments and slow parts as well.
ReplyDeleteThe tempo of the song changes from fast and slow and this gives a sense of sadness. In the song the dynamics are used quite a lot and it is very affective. The harmony clashes from high to low. The pitch of the song was very high but occasionally thee were some low notes. There was only one instrument "piano" that played in the song. The key that this is in is Minor.
ReplyDelete'Für Elise' starts off very slow and gentle, the notes all slurring.

ReplyDeleteThis is quite an energetic song.
ReplyDeleteThis is an excellent song, well made, and makes me feel very sad and depressed as well.
ReplyDeleteFur Elise starts off very slow and gentle.
ReplyDeleteFur Elise is a quite moving song that has a lot of dynamic changes throughout the piece.
ReplyDeleteThe piece is played with very high and very low to make a melody that compliments each other, but you can distinguish both parts.
ReplyDeleteFur Elise is very graceful and very beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThis piece is a very slow piece until you get to about the middle/end.
ReplyDelete'Für Elise' has lots of feeling. The pianist uses his own emotions to influence the way the song is played example, he strikes the keys softly, then hard. The sadness, gloominess and desolation comes through to the audience because of the the elements such as the melody of the piece. The song also has a certain gracefulness to it. The piece sounds like it may be for someone or dedicated to someone when it was written
ReplyDeleteThe tempo varies, at the beginning of the piece it's slow, then further on in the song it speeds up.
ReplyDelete"Für Elise' is a graceful yet sad and depressing song that has some hope in it.
ReplyDeleteThen there is a sudden change to part B which is lively and played in a major key.
